Yesterday i found this article with this boy's pic in the malay newspaper, berita harian. This Muslim boy is from Pakistan, Muhammad aqeel karkeen quadir, 14 was with his family for a holiday in Johor. They decided to rent a boat and 9people get onto it. 6 of them were his family members. that was when their boat sank. it was when a Singapore malay man heard his shouts for help. this man is working as a repairman on moving ships. this boy and family members had been brought by the waves for 12 hours. than i was like how could he survive on the open deep sea for like 12 hours? he must be clinging onto something, but what?. when they helped him, he was actually holding onto his mother's body. i cried when i read this. sad right. eventhough he can't save his mum, but atleast he managed to bring his mother back to be buried. And eventhough he can't save his family members like his dad, he prioritise his mum first. that's so sweet of him. i'm sad for him as he did'nt get the chance to celebrate mothers day with his mum.i was actually reading news out loud to my mum. and that my eyes turn watery.. my mum saw that. it's alright, she knows i'm a soft hearted person..omg. and now this boy is all alone.
